Installation Tip: It’s Like Having An Extra Pair Of Hands
Tips and Tricks
When you are going solo on an install who wouldn’t want an extra set of helping hands? Well, it’s not necessary to take someone with you just to hold the center verticals up while you install your screws. Simply take one of the four inch screws, place it through one of the pre-drilled holes opposite from where you will begin. Use this screw to hold up the center vertical while you are fasten the first side. Once you are ready to fasten the other side, simply pull the screw out and begin fastening the vertical to the horizontal as you normally would.

Keys to a Succesful Home Show or Event exhibiting the Lifestyle Screens garage door screen system
Home shows, car shows, bike shows, local fairs, and other civic events – even some higher-end outdoor farmers’ markets and indoor flea markets – with large crowds of people are the best way to let consumers in your area know about Lifestyle Screens. There are many upcoming shows scheduled around the country.
We would like to share some best practices with you that will yield results.
MOTION ATTRACTS ATTENTION: First, motion attracts attention! If you are using a display booth, it is important to keep the Lifestyle Screen moving. This is very important. The minute the motion stops, so will the crowd of people stopping at your booth to see what it is. Have a designated operator and a designated salesperson at each show. Keep your booth manned at all times. We have been asked to demonstrate the recommended method for demonstrating the movement of the Lifestyle garage screen. Here is a short video.
We have calculated that when we are at a show, the Lifestyle Screen goes up, comes down, close the retractable door, open the retractable door, and back up approximately every 7-8 seconds! Yes, every 7-8 seconds! We make it a best practice to have a designated person operating the screen and designated sales people explaining the system, never stopping the movement of the door.
TAKE A DEPOSIT: The next best practice is kind of a delicate subject with some but those that have instituted the practice get results. 
That is taking a deposit. Deposits make the consumer feel in their mind that they have already made that purchase. If you are using the show incentive that we are currently offering, deposits should be an easier thing to ask from your customer since time is of the essence to participate in the promotion. Resources are limited. If you do not take the deposit then that interested customer may place a deposit with a vendor selling another product. Thus those resources that you would have secured to purchase your product ends up being utilized to purchase some other product. Not taking the deposit therefore resulted in a lost sale.
SEEK OUT FREE PUBLICITY: Next, seek out all of the publicity that you can get at the show. There are usually two opportunities to do this. First, if yo
u are offering a show special be sure to let the show organizer know about your giveaway and request that they announce your show special. They are more than happy to do it because that is what the attendees are there for: to get the show specials. From time to time, Lifestyle Screens co-ops with its dealers by offering the dealers passthru show incentives. Contact your Lifestyle Screens representative to find out more. Second, there are always television stations on hand filming short pieces for their news and special interest shows. Radio, newspaper, and online or print magazine reporters also visit shows and events to find new and interesting things to talk and write about. The Lifestyle Screens garage door screen is a unique product. The media folks are looking for new and innovative products. Ask the show organizers to alert the media – TV, radio, newspapers and magazines – about your Lifestyle screen. If you get this done on the first day of the show, you will be surprised by the number of homeowners that show up to see the Lifestyle Screen because they heard about it on the radio, read about it in the print media, or saw it on TV!
